Flat Screen TV Problem – translucent blue patch appearing on the Screen in the corner?
We have a 46 inch flat screen tv. About 2 months a ago the LCD lamp went out and we replaced it with a new one. The tv seemed to work just fine with no problems. Then yesterday we noticed a translusent blue patch in the bottom left hand corner (about 2 inches in length). It doesn’t interfer with viewing but it seems to be getting bigger and is annoying. Why is it doing that? Is there anyway to fix this?
The TV is a Sony bought in Sioux Falls, SD at Karl’s TV three years ago. We also bought an extended warrenty on it for three years also. Thanks for the replys.
Yes, it is annoying….and YES IT IS GROWING….Replacing the Light engine is the only fix…
BUT you can get it rebuilt too…
Right now, most manufacturers don’t provide JUST THE LCD PANEL to be installed by a TV TECH…
The question I have is…..IS IT LESS than a year OLD?
It’s under warranty, MAKE a COPY of your PURCHASE reciept made so the Authorized Service Center can get it and send it to the manufacturer with their paperwork.
I suggest an AUTHORIZED SERVICER no matter what….they can get PARTS and Exchanges, and REBUILDS and EVERYTHING….all under one roof…..
I just hope to God you didn’t buy a WEIRD brand name like ILO or OLEVIA or Visio…..
