It’s a tool that drives nails or staples using compressed air. They go by other names, too, including “pneumatic nailer” and “nail gun.” One nailer can’t drive every size and type of nail, so they’re usually classified into “finish” nailers (for smaller nails used for trim) and “framing” nailers (for driving larger framing nails.
