In my new home (under construction)the toilet in master bedroom is 6′2 X 11′1.The door opens in side wall.

If required I can extend its width making it 7′7 X 11′1.I want to do that in case I make 2-3 wardrobes in the bathroom .But I am worried about the problems of dampness & humidity in the almiras.Though my interior designer has assured that he will separate the shower, toilet seat & washbasin area by putting a glass sliding door thus preventing the wardrobes from humidity.But I am not sure and want to take a opinion of those who have made almiras in the toilet .Also I donot want to separate the area by making a brick wall as there will be congestion.Please help .Should I go for the extension ?

Go for water proof materials available in market.you can manage dampness.Even you can try thick pvc material for cabinets,which is durable.
If there is a glass door partition,then you can try with ply wood.But you have to close it all the time,even after your bath.
